Bio

My name is Dorian Turner, and I’m an actress. I started off by accident, when my sister worked at ABC Television in New York. They needed someone who spoke Spanish to do an on-air translation. I was so excited, and I enjoyed the experience so much that I decided to do it as a career.

Since then, I’ve realized that I’ve been acing my whole life. From various school plays to university acting classes to voice lessons to being a film extra.

It was the ABC gig that led to other parts, one being a film short that made it to the 2006 Cannes Film Festival. Attending the festival was a hoot, and I have since been auditioning for theatre parts in the Atlanta area.

Acting is a passion, and I have learned that acting for me is a natural habit, rather than a job. It does require that you have organizational skills, good people skills, and business sense. But besides that, it’s great to do something you love for a living.
