Dianne: Female / 25-30 Years. / Any Ethnicity. Donald’s lawyer, she is a very professional woman in her late 20’s/Early 30’s. She seems refined as though her every thought and action is well planned out. She is slowly becoming unnerved by Donald’s increasingly bizarre behavior.

Lucia: Female / 18-24 Years. / Any Ethnicity. Donald’s Maid/Cook, she is streetwise but somewhat naive.

STORY LINE: The Suffering is a Gothic Horror Film. It deals with revenge, family guilt, and mental breakdown. The film concerns a young man named Robert who visits a friend of his (Donald) in the country. Upon his arrival, Robert learns of Donald’s family curse, which might be powerful enough to destroy them both.

Roust Theatre Company is casting the world premiere of a new American translation of The Private Life of the Master Race (aka Fear and Misery in the Third Reich) by Bertolt Brecht. James Phillip Gates, dir.; Tracy Hostmyer, prod. Rehearsals begin March 6; runs March 30-April 22 at Walkerspace, NYC. Young Man: playing range 20-30; The director is seeking an ensemble cast.
