This was basically my own “production stills/rough cut” stuff I banged out here… the final piece since it will likely look somewhat different (or at least I’ll get some screen time ;-) and with different footage, etc once director Tim Sheard puts it all together. For instance, this “behind the scenes” film sequence only really shows 1/2 the story as written in the script, so a viewer may come away with a different message when they view the final piece.

Was fun to help out with DP on this one; hadn’t shot for a bit, but for these shots of my scene partner I actually avoided most of the wide shots because IMO a story on film is often made in the close-up frame, where the eyes can carry the narrative vs. the body in theatre or other mediums. Actually I’m always amazed by the power of both camera angles/zooms and editing– how the same performer can look vastly different based on which are used, and even how the message can change depending on what the camera focuses (or doesn’t focus) on, or what is (or is not) included in the edit (but that’s a film-theory talk for another time :-).

I’m hoping to get some stills and/or “behind the scenes” and “out-takes” footage of myself as well to intercut with stuff like this; will repost if added and meanwhile some background on my intended use over here.
