Precision off-road driving in Mongolia I did with Land Rover for the international adventure race, Camel Trophy '97, with my United States teammate Doug Mays; basically 1 month, 40 competitors, off-road driving, kayaking, mt biking, and orienteering with competitors-and-then-friends from 19 other countries. Interestingly, my teammate was a logger from Oregon, I went to Seattle to spike trees... well I went w/ that idea but actually never tapped a spike... back in the day. Plus I was the youngest U.S. competitor in the events history while he was one of the oldest, all of which made for some good times and good dynamics.
