Free, open source, cross-platform and networked tool for almost all aspects of pre-production, including script writing, index cards, storyboards, breakdown print-outs, props, characters, scheduling, and on-line collaboration… may be appropriate for producers, writers, and especially students (since it’s free/open-source).

Editorial: See video feature tour and/or overview above… haven’t personally used alternatives like FinalDraft, etc, so don’t know how they compare, but Celtx is free, open source, and seems very comprehensive and perhaps more powerful in some aspects. For instance, the schedule and web services seem particularly unique.
